Haven’t updated my blog in a while as you can see.  I will be updating shortly about our high school rep program as well as uploading recent images.  I am currently building a new blog that will have new features like slideshows and video….stand-by.  In the mean time feel free to contact us about photo services or questions.

PAYTON – SENIOR SESSION

Last week I captured images of Payton at Polliwog park in the city of Manhattan Beach.  Payton  has kind of a kick-back personality and that’s what we captured….kick-back images.  Payton is one of my senior reps at Lawndale high school.  The temperature started out on the warm side and then suddenly cooled off quite a bit. We had a good time shooting while dad was my assistant holding lighting and reflectors as needed.  I’m still looking for high school senior reps.  Senior reps can earn money or print credits. TAYLOR – SENIOR PHOTO SESSION

Taylor is a senior at Marina high school in Huntington Beach California.  She is a 2010 senior class rep working our ambassador program for  high school seniors at the school.  Senior’s are requesting a different type of photograph to reflect their character and personality.  Not to say there’s anything wrong with the traditional photograph, but all seniors aren’t the same and therefore, don’t all want the same look.  I’m always looking for senior reps at  schools, so if you know an energetic class 2010 senior interested that would enjoy sharing an expressive photographic experience send them our way.  You can also see below an example of a senior rep card.  Being a rep also includes opportunities to earn photo credits or $$$.

JESSICA AND MATT WEDDING

August 29th  was a beautiful day to have a wedding in Rolling Hills.  It was a little warm for most, but the heat didn’t spoil the occasion in the least.  Jessica and Matt are quite the couple that had quite the ceremony.   It was fitting that they met through a church group and expressed their vows in the church.  It was a beautiful service that started out with a slideshow of the couple in their youth and a video of the marriage proposal.  The reception was a blast as well.  Young and old alike were gettin their party on in celebration of the new couple.  Here are a few of the images captured of the special day.  Southbay Exposure 800-448-0788

CHANNEL SENIOR PHOTOS

Channel is one of my senior portrait ambassadors at North Torrance high school.  We went around the Torrance area to find a mix of color and texture backgrounds to augment her varied looks.  She’s an active student participating in Volleyball as well as other activities. We wanted to depict her active lifestyle with an edgy, yet classy feel.  She is full of energy and we were able to capture what she wanted. JESSICA AND MATT ENGAGEMENT

Palos Verdes and Torrance were the locations of choice for our adventure.  Matt and Jessica have been planning their wedding for many months and I had the honor of capturing and documenting their special day.  I always do an engagement shoot to establish a repoire and develop a relationship and trust with my clients.  Matt and Jessica are a very loving, spiritual couple that entrusted me to record their story.  We had a great time driving the south coast of the Palos Verdes Peninsula stopping wherever we felt the need to shoot. BREANNA AND ILA SENIOR PHOTO SHOOT

Breanna and Ilanit are my senior portrait reps at Torrance high school.  These ladies are class of 2010 and act as models for Southbay Exposure passing out senior rep cards to potential clients.  Senior’s want a new style of photo for their portrait.  Not so much the traditional sit on the stool.  Those are fine for the yearbook, however, edgy is the buzz word for the year.  Portraits that express their style, character and personalities is what they want. When I shoot senior portraits they can also include their favorite item such as instrument or sporting equipment.  I’m always looking for senior reps at schools.  I’ve included some examples of rep cards that the reps get to hand out.  Here are a few from our shoot over the summer.

DIANA AND TODD

These images of Diana and Todd were captured in a very remote location in Studio City.   It actually started raining a little bit, but in true Hollywood style the show must go on.   We had a good time with these images as this couple knew how to have fun and liven things up a bit.  I really like the informal setting of engagement shoots because it allows the couple to be free with their emotions and with the long lens I don’t have to be so close giving directions.  Just be you and enjoy the moment!

Grand Canyon Travels

Of course I do more than photograph people.  I have to show some images captured from our trip to the Grand Canyon back in May.  This marvel is truly one of the wonders of the world.  And no, we didn’t ride the mules down the canyon. May was a fantastic time of year to go.  The weather was great and the sites were simply amazing.  This was our road trip travelled in our “Jazz” 5th wheel.  The other stops on this trip included Laughlin and Sedona…another beauty.  Take a look at what we saw and feel free to make comments.  Thanks for visiting.

LISETH QUINCEANERA

Liseth will be 15 and wants to share it with all of her family and friends.  Prior to the big party, her family and I we went out to various areas of the Southbay and captured some images showing her personality and energy.  I met this family a few years ago while practicing taekwondo.  Liseth has 3 sisters of which 2 are in Universities and the youngest is now in middle school.  I can’t express enough the quality of this family in terms of desire and motivation to do well in everything they pursuit .
