These images of Diana and Todd were captured in a very remote location in Studio City. It actually started raining a little bit, but in true Hollywood style the show must go on. We had a good time with these images as this couple knew how to have fun and liven things up a bit. I really like the informal setting of engagement shoots because it allows the couple to be free with their emotions and with the long lens I don’t have to be so close giving directions. Just be you and enjoy the moment!

Of course I do more than photograph people. I have to show some images captured from our trip to the Grand Canyon back in May. This marvel is truly one of the wonders of the world. And no, we didn’t ride the mules down the canyon. May was a fantastic time of year to go. The weather was great and the sites were simply amazing. This was our road trip travelled in our “Jazz” 5th wheel. The other stops on this trip included Laughlin and Sedona…another beauty. Take a look at what we saw and feel free to make comments. Thanks for visiting.

Liseth will be 15 and wants to share it with all of her family and friends. Prior to the big party, her family and I we went out to various areas of the Southbay and captured some images showing her personality and energy. I met this family a few years ago while practicing taekwondo. Liseth has 3 sisters of which 2 are in Universities and the youngest is now in middle school. I can’t express enough the quality of this family in terms of desire and motivation to do well in everything they pursuit . Here are are a few images from the pre-party.

After a long hiatus I’m finally adding some images to my blog. Kathy was a senior at Port of Los Angeles high school that wanted something different than the traditional “sit on the stool and smile at the ducky” portrait. We took to the streets of old town San Pedro and captured some of her character and personality. It was a great shoot that resulted in excellent choices for her family and friends.

This weekend I captured images of Fiona and Brittany at one of my favorite undisclosed locations in Long Beach. Brittany and Fiona are students at Cal State Long Beach majoring in biology and communications that needed images to reflect their personalities and various moods. It was an enjoyable shoot on a glorious day at a park with the ocean serving as a backdrop. Besides the ladies future aspirations I also found out where all of the Taco Bell hot sauce disappears to! Here are a few of the photos we captured.

Photographing children can be quite the challenge. You have to be ready at all times because the expressions and responses are fleeting and sometimes short-lived. This weekend I had the opportunity to spend the day at the park with Devon and her parents Al and Erin. We all had a pretty good time reliving our childhood. This wasn’t my first shoot with Devon, therefore, she wasn’t as apprehensive as some children might be. She had a nice nap prior to our activity and she was in a great mood. Devon was ready to get the party started and put on quite a show. Here are a few of Devon’s images captured on this beautiful day in Southern California.

View from our room
Every year my good friend, (LAFD retired) Darryl Finks and I go skiing at a location we have yet to visit. Last year it was Whistler, BC… this year it was Telluride, Colorado. The weather was great, the snow was superb and the food was to die for. We stayed in a condo near the gondola that took skiers to the top. Since we always go during the week, the crowds are minimal. This year I decided to ski instead of snowboard. I’m happy to report there were no injuries or mishaps…other than a little altitude sickness. The flight leaving was the worst flight I have ever had. It was so turbulent that my coke launched off the tray across the aisle. The pilot recommended us to TIGHTLY fasten our seatbelts. With that having been said the flight attendant never left her seat. All in all the trip was a blast and we’re already planning for next year….Lake Placid here we come!!
